Oops . . . I forgot!

Sorry family and friends, I kept putting off updating the blog and now it's been 3 months! We are quickly approaching our moving day and it seems the days are getting filled with everything except packing and cleaning. For those who haven't heard, we are moving to Broadus, Montana the first part of July. It's a super small town with lots of animals for Troy to keep track of as the Conservation Officer for the area.
To mark the big 2 years of age, we decided to break Kaylei of her Binky. It actually went better than we thought since she insists on having it constantly! Kaylei and mom are taking swim lessons at the local pool. It's been a lot of fun to get to play with Kaylei in the pool. We just learned the song "Motor Boat" and Kaylei sings it ALL the time. It's her first song that she's learned enough to sing on her own! She is speaking better everyday and becoming more independent as well. Today she decided she needed to put on make-up and made quite the mess!

Over the past few weeks, we added a new addition to our family. My parents let Kaylei bring a kitten home that had been abandoned at a friends house. Kaylei has named him Meow Meow. He loves to play and tease Kaylei though Kaylei usually wins and I end up rescuing the poor guy!

Here are a few pictures from the past few months:
One of the rare moments the kitty will sit with Kaylei!

Kaylei plays in the mirror every chance she gets. She enjoys practicing her happy, sad, and silly faces.

This is Kaylei putting on chapstick. She always says she has a booboo on her lips when she wants chapstick, lipstick, or vaseline on them.

She finally has enough hair for full pig-tails! Although I cut her hair shortly after I took this picture because it was growing out into a mullet like shape. Her dad kept combing all her hair forward and then cutting bangs so we are working on growing it out.

And finally, some pictures from her 2nd birthday. She had both sets of grandparents present for her birthday. My mom made her a pretty pink butterfly cake and we got her first tricycle although she doesn't like riding it much since she fell off and hit her head on the entertainment center corner. Luckily it didn't cut the skin, just left an ugly green bruise.
